Effect of the Camelina sativa oil on the performance, essential fatty acid level in tissues and fat-soluble vitamins content in the livers of broiler chickens – T. Jaśkiewicz, A. Sagan, and I. Puzio -Livestock Science – 2014

Summary: The diet for broiler chicken was supplemented with camelina oil and was compared with diets supplemented with soybean oil and rapeseed oil. No differences were observed for growth performance. However, the type of oil impacted the fatty acid profile of muscle tissue and abdominal fat. These results showed the usefulness of camelina oil in producing food enriched with α-linolenic acid.
