WATCH CTV News FarmGate on the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's approval of 10% Camelina cake in feed for egg-laying hens. Researchers found that adding Camelina to layers’ feed resulted in a dose-related rise in polyunsaturated Omega-3 fatty acids and a superior balance of Omega-3:Omega-6 fatty acids in table eggs. CFIA previously approved cold-pressed, non-solvent extracted Camelina meal for broiler chickens. Another application is going forward for dairy cattle.
